Food was great service excellent
Not "the best food in Williamson" as it says on sign. The place is small. The dining area is nice. You have to walk through the messy kitchen hall to get to the one toilet in the place. NOT wheelchair accessible. The bathroom looks old and dirty. Makes me wonder how clean the kitchen really is. The place was empty at 11:30 am. One old guy came in after us. That's it for customers. The food....nothing special. I cook better at home. And I'm not a great cook. The homemade cinnamon roll with frosting was messy. Not really a roll shape either. Drowned in frosting...too much. The chicken dumplings were not that good my husband said. I ordered waffles with strawberries. There were so many COLD strawberries on top, the waffle was cold. Shouldn't the berries be WARM? So the liquid with the berries made the waffle turn to mush. Didn't taste horrible, just all cold and mushy. We are not going back. They even have a TripAdvisor sticker on the front door. My next review!
Great atmosphere to go with good home cooking.
Very nice people and good food and service.
Good food, good prices, great service.Homemade bread and jam is awesome
First impression upon walking, in was a terrible smell. Second, the booths were dirty. The food was awful and the waitress was not friendly at all. Zero stars is too generous. Don't waste your time or money on this place.
Blue cheese dressing was old and vinegary salad looked old portion of potatoes was 2 bites meatloaf was undercooked and had a weird sweet taste to it mushy looked like alpo service was great though
It was ok..had to walk through food prep area to access restroom. Kitchen was not very clean..
Nice cute place. Chicken salad sandwich is very good. Coleslaw was ehhh. Could use a little upgrades on the menu but def worth trying.
Awesome food, amazing staff. Makes you feel right at home
Enjoyed the breakfast and service was good! Nothing crazy in flavor town besides the pancakes...blueberry pancakes we're awesome! We had tried the country hash and sausage gravy, but I didn't think it was anything special. We will definitely be back for pancakes.
Fantastic as usual. And we all loved the updates they have made to the dining area.
My favorite place in town!
Excellent home cooking with fair prices. Exactly what you'd want from a country kitchen
Super fast and super nice. The owner takes a lot of pride in doing a great job. The Carrot cake was amazing!
Love this place great food and service, been going there for years.
Nice hometown restaurant. Food and service are always good. Nice quiet place to have a private conversation while having a meal. Super coffee, always hot, and cup kept full.
Good sandwiches on great bread, with elite coffee
Love the food and people.Great place to eat
Good food, good service and good prices. I've never had a complaint!
Great food, every time. I suggest the omelets, you won't be disappointed.
Good food, fair prices, really fast service
Good food and good service! Very nice staff!
Great staff great food! Definitely coming back!
Food was good. Friendly service
Nothing fancy. Just good food & pleasant people.
Visiting from Colorado...walked in 15 min. before closing...got fantastic food, and great service. Thank you Michelle !!!
Good homey place. Good food.
Went to Ellie's country kitchen for breakfast on a whim, normally I'm not impressed with trying new restaurants but breakfast was good! The staff was friendly and helpful. They make bread homemade and it was delicious, a very nice added value. The only criticism I have is the decor is out dated, but if you have good food and service that can be overlooked.
It wasn't the best place I've been too. The prices and food were okay. Not somewhere I would plan to go to again. I went there for the breakfast food. It looked better then it tasted. And I couldn't get any phone service inside the restaurant!
I live nearby but dont stop here often. When I do, though, I'm always happy with my food and the waitstaff is always so nice :)
If you like greasy spoon diners with no frills, this is your kind of place. Prices are cheap, and the food is pretty decent for the price. The decor is old, and the booths have tears in them. The service is great, and the food comes out quickly. They also have lovely homemade jams and jellies that are quite good.
Very casual and homey feeling, food was good and the server kept my cup filled with coffee. Can't ask for much more then that.
Good food and good service 👍
Had the country Burger, stuffed mushrooms and onion rings my fiance had the country fried steak dinner, the country fried steak here out of this world, highly recommended it, Burger was plain, onion rings kind of plane stuffed mushrooms really good,
Great food and service 😁
Had decent breakfast here a few times. Today i was served almost RAW bacon, and water that tasted like it had cleaning chemical in it,crossed with a dirty dish. I could not drink the water or eat the bacon. Sad 😢. Won't return
Great food, reasonable pricing. Awesome staff. I will return.
Have never had a bad meal there and I've had quite a few throughout the years management and servers are fantastic
My niece and I stopped here as our regular place is closed like to try new and local fair when going to our auction pick up. I had to Olive Burger on the homemade bread Rye toasted my niece had the bacon burger on toasted white bread both of them were fresh and tasty. The the waitress was friendly and very attentive stop by our table several times asked if we needed anything else. Would eat here again prices on average under $10. Really
With a number of very good restaurants in Williamston, this offers the best value. Some of the entrees are truly outstanding. You can tell that they make a number of the items from scratch.
Was very good !
I heard the breakfast is good but the dinner we had was not. They were out of the first four things I tried to order then the dish I got tasted like the gravy had been sitting in a metal pan for days. I may be back to try breakfast because the people were very friendly.
Words cannot express how good the food is. Never had a bad meal
**COVID related- VISIT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK * Server not wearing mask. Cook and cashier had masks around neck. Masks were not covering face and nose. Too bad that it was not posted on the door that they were not using social distancing and covid protection measures or I would not have come in. Wish I had had the presence of mind to get up and walk out but by the time I realized how many people preparing my meal were not protecting me it was already too late.
This has to be the absolute worst food I've had in Michigan. There's more water than fake potatoes and I think this meatloaf came from a can too .... soup sure as hell did . So bad I had to order Chinese food while sitting here from up the street . Nasty and old tasting . Gross .
Delicious food, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. They also have homemade breads and jams available for sale.
Ordered a BLT and tasted great and came out fast.
We made a quick stop off the freeway to have lunch and this is where we ended up. What a cool little old downtown area. The service was friendly and the food was good. My wife and I both left stuffed and ready for the rest of our drive.
Service was good, food was ok but definitely had worse and a lot better. Food was kinda just there, not sure it it was to many flavors or not enough but glad there was pepper on the table.
